A complete unattended cremation, arranged by our local family team.
The cremation takes place without mourners or a ceremony at the crematorium.
- Collection of your loved one from a home, care home, hospital or mortuary within 20 miles of our Heathfield office, at any time of day or night, with no additional collection charge.
- A simple coffin suitable for cremation
- Transport to the crematorium in a traditional hearse, with a recording of the hearse arriving at the crematorium
- Cremation at a local crematorium, including the cremation fee
- Return of ashes in a suitable container
- All necessary legal paperwork and cremation documentation

A goodbye before the cremation
If you would like time with your loved one beforehand, there are two alternative additions to the £1,645 direct cremation:
- Private chapel visit — +£100: a short, private goodbye for immediate next of kin, without a formal service.
- Attended Direct Cremation — +£395: a ceremony in our private Heathfield chapel for up to 20 people. A celebrant for the chapel ceremony is optional at +£250, only with this choice.
The cremation itself remains unattended with either choice. The private visit and chapel ceremony are alternatives.

What does the price include?
The current price is £1,645, including the cremation fee and collection within 20 miles of our Heathfield office, day or night. The optional private chapel visit is £100.
Can you collect from a home or care home?
Collection of your loved one from a home, care home, hospital or mortuary within 20 miles of our Heathfield office, at any time of day or night, with no additional collection charge. For collection beyond 20 miles, please contact us. We will explain and agree any additional charge before proceeding.
Can family attend the crematorium?
No. A direct cremation is unattended, with no mourners or ceremony at the crematorium. You can arrange a separate remembrance in your own way, or choose Attended Direct Cremation for a ceremony in our private chapel beforehand, for up to 20 people. See the chapel choices.
What happens to the ashes?
Ashes are returned in a suitable container. We will explain and agree the collection or return arrangements with you.
